Wassup!

What de man say? Wassup!

My name is Neto (pronounced Nato) and after perusing many-a-MBA applicant blog over the last application season, I decided to start one of my own to chronicle my application experience.

A little bit about myself…I’m from the West Indies…went to college in Chicago…and now I work as a Software Systems Engineer at a mid-size business services firm in the Midwest. I like my job because even though it is mad hectic I do get to lead some interesting projects and that leadership experience is precisely what I was looking for when I accepted the offer to work there. This is actually my second job out of college. My first was ok but I was working more as a “code monkey” which was cool at the time but when it became clear to me that I wanted to go the MBA route I knew I would have to seek out other opportunities.

Anyway, the application season is underway with most programs already having announced this season’s deadlines and some already having published this season’s application essays. It’s going to be a long summer and an even longer fall. I’ll try to keep everybody updated on how things go…hopefully this blog doesn’t end up being a compendium of what not to do when applying to b-school ;-)
